The iTEAM: leadership in technological innovation within the UPV
The iTEAM Research Institute consolidates its leadership at the Polytechnic University of Valencia as one of the leading centres for research, technology and innovation. With a strategic position representing 10% of the UPV’s total investment in R&D, the institute has become a key driver of scientific advancement in the field of ICT.
In 2024, iTEAM achieved more than €10.7 million in R&D&I revenue, making it the institute with the highest economic volume at the UPV. Its activity stands out for:
- Leadership in competitive funding, with €8.46 million from national and international public calls for proposals.
- Solid collaboration with companies and administrations, with €2.28 million through research and technology transfer contracts.
- Promotion of innovation, with 6 new patent applications registered during the year.
- A key role within the ICT area of the UPV, which accounts for 38% of the university’s total research income.
